SLE Acceptance

When I got accepted, I was notified by email. You can also check to see your status at the Candidate Portal at https://candidate.usma.edu/

Happy to say I was just accepted to Week 2 of SLE!! Can't wait!!
 
DS got his acceptance to SLE too this morning. The Adventures Continues.

My DS got his acceptance e-mail today, we are still waiting on the NASS/USCGA. Good-luck to everyone, it is a very exciting and nerve racking experience:)
 
I just got my week 1 SLE acceptance and earlier this week I got my week 1 NASS acceptance! I also will be attending girls state! This is going to be a great summer!!!!
 
I have been accepted to attend SLE this summer but I am not planning to attend (can't rather) because the program dates are during my school year. Actually, the program dates are during finals week. So does it look bad for me to not reply USMA or to not accept their acceptance? Thank you

You attending or not attending SLE has no effect on your actual application process and the decision made. There are tons of people who get into SLE and aren't offered an appointment or who don't get into SLE and are offered an appointment. SLE is more of an opportunity to give CCs a "taste of the West Point life". Don't worry about your application, and good luck :)
 
My DS did not get into any of the SA summer camps and was very disappointed but looking back it may have been a blessing in disguise as he worked even harder to prove he was worthy and was offered and accepted an appointment in January. As stated earlier, SLE attendance does nothing for your WCS and does not imply admission. For those denied, work hard and take the additional time to improve your resume and prepare for the CFA.

I will apply to NASS but will probably not be able to go if I am accepted. Hopefully the 2nd session of SLE though, as I still have to send my paperwork in. Maybe see you there!

On second thought, when exactly is the paperwork for SLE acceptance due?

The paperwork and payment needs to be received by March 10.
