I was recently accepted to Westpoint's SLE program. However, I'm worried that I will perform poorly on the CFA. I can only do 1 or 2 dead-hang pull ups which I understand are the ones I am tested on. I will definitely practice until I need to go, but I don't think that I will be able to improve a lot...Will a low CFA score during SLE affect my application negatively?

It won't affect your application at all. If you are happy with your CFA scores at SLE, you can use them as part of your USMA application. If you are not happy with your scores, you may certainly retake the CFA in the fall. USMA is a bit different from the rest of the Academies that use the CFA (USCGA uses their own test (PFE) instead). Your CFA counts for 10% of your WCS, while at USNA, USAFA, and USMMA, it's a pass/fail part of your application. It is in your best interest to perform well on it (Above the posted averages). The CFA has no posted minimums as the Academies want their candidates to perform their best, not just shoot for the minimums. The pass/fail benchmark for each event exists, but Admissions is the only entity that knows them. So, in essence, you can fail the CFA. Like I said above, shoot for above average in every event and good luck!

And you can retake the CFA. He 'passed' the first time he took it but he took it twice more with the goal to improve in one or two areas each time - which he did. This showed WP that he was working hard in this area. WP will see your CFA score each time you take it so they will note if there is any improvement.
