Son's profile remains "pending" as well. I've never doubted the claims that others have made that acceptance/denial to SLE is an indication of a future appointment to West Point. In fact, my other son, a recent USMA grad, went to visit a group of fellow grads a couple of weeks ago. Knowing his brother's unselected SLE status, he stated that he asked about 10 of his friends if they went to SLS (now SLE) but each replied that they hadn't. DS is very excited to experience it all if selected, but knows to keep pressing forward despite the hard punch an initial denial may ultimately bring.
