I was just curious what time everyone is planning to arrive for Session 1 tomorrow.

I decided to come a day early and stay at the Marriot located next to the airport. If anyone happens to be in the hotel, let me know!
 
Will be arriving on Newark at 6:00AM.

I know of a couple of people who are as well.
 
I'll be getting into Newburgh at like 9:30 or so and then have to drive to West Point. So a little later than I'd like, but early enough to be on time!
 
A bit of weird question, but what are you guys wearing there, does it say specifically in the packet?
 
It doesn't specify in the packet, but from what I've read, khaki pants/shorts and a polo are appropriate. That's what I intend to wear, and I think the same will be fine for you.
 
Ill be arriving at Newark at around 6 am as well. I am an asian guy wearing a black polo and khaki cargo shorts! look for me :)
 
A quick question..the packing list didnt specify how many shirts to bring. im only bringing 2 polo shirts and the rest are all nice V-neck shirts or plain t-shirts. is that ok?
 
I was wondering about the shirts too, they give you three t's for training and two polos for classes. I myself am going to bring like two t-shirts and a polo. I'm going to wear khaki pants there too.
 
really? man..i better take some shirts out of my luggage then..
I heard the clothes they issue you stink. is anyone bringing detergent?
 
Also, is anyone bringing school work? Im bringing a book and a notebook for an assignment that I have to do...:rolleyes:
 
i remember reading from another post that we should bring detergent to wash our stinky clothes in the sink (better than nothing) haha. and I'll probably bring a school book along or something. It's going to be a long plane ride when riding by yourself (well, for me at least).

They only stink after you sweat in them after a couple of days. If you don't bring detergent just wear the underarmour pt shirt in the shower and it should work. Crude but effective.

Have a good time at SLS y'all. It's a fun week. :thumb:

just wondering but when does the CFA take place? is it a good idea to practice the CFA one last time before getting on the plane (pushups/situps/pullups mainly)?

How many bags are you guys brining on? I'm just carrying one bag on and bringing my backpack with some school stuff in it.

For the record, I am not brining detergent.

The CFA takes place the morning of the first full day you are there at SLS. I don't think practicing one more time if you've been practicing for the last few months will make a bit of difference. At this point there's not a lot you can do to change what your scores are going to be.
 
Also, don't forget that the CFA administered at SLS is a "free-be". If you dont pass, then you can retake it again later on this year.

I went into SLS thinking I was unlikely to pass the CFA, a few days later I found out I passed!! The reverse is also true, many of my squad mates failed the CFA after thinking they were a sure win because they could max out at one of the events. Good luck though, and make sure you have fun!
