snow days

MIHOSER- I am going to persuade my husband to jump in the RV and head Northeast for a little sunshine and R and R in your state. It was 9 below zero on our way to church today. See you soon!

See if I were you id just head straight south! I’d drive straight to a warm state like FL or TX. They don’t get much snow there, nor do they have days in the negatives. Thats the high life.

Expected high for tomorrow 12

We have had two snow days. One day we only missed the last class because freezing rain was expected to get real heavy, and on top of a few inches of snow (that fell while we were at school, and we have to walk outside between classes:thumbdown:) is fairly dangerous.

We got released a whole 15 minutes early the day of the freezing rain/slush to dig out our cars from the parking lot. That said, we've had 3 snow days - 2 back to back for that first really bad storm and then Friday (the day I was supposed to take my last midterms) for the storm that added another 6" of snow here. Now we just get to enjoy the sub 0 temps for the weekend with the chance of heavy snow in the upcoming week likely

At least shoveling is a fairly good workout:thumb: And the cold builds character!

haha yea! That's what I told my mom when she asked why I wasn't sick of the snow yet - its just one more way for me to be staying in shape

 Cooling down, 75/50 average for the upcoming week. We will be turning on the heater at night. :thumb:

Well, we are expecting a big one mid week. If its all snow, it’ll be heavy! It will probably be more likely just a whole lot of snow, then rain to melt it. But its still a few days away so who knows.

-7 when I woke up this morning:eek:

Yea it hit -12 last night, thankfully is a bit warmer today. I did hear that storm is supposed to end up with some rain which hopefully will get rid of some of that ice that's everywhere...my car really doesn't like ice

As I drove to school this morning at 7:00 AM, it was -22 in Southern New Hampshire/ Northern MA!!! Coldest day in nearly three years. My hair nearly froze when I took the dog out!

I’m assuming with wind chill. I’m like 30 minutes SE of Lowell.

I'm in northern MA, north of Boston. We had that kind of temp with the wind chill...they even put out a warning last night for frostbite and what not. Although why anyone would be otuside at midnight last night in that kind of temp is beyond me

So where's the "I hate you" smiley?! :shake:

Okay, I leave in just 6 days for Florida for my kids' band trip to Disney World. I can make it! :thumb:

Marciemi: there's a barfing smiley you might want to look into. Just saw it today.:barf:

Who on earth thinks of this stuff??

Not sure snow shoveling=staying in shape. In my years in AK, I shoveled snow almost every day (in winter, of course), and still gained weight! (and, no, it wasn't because I was so buff :yllol:) I think it just gave me a bigger appetite!
