Well, yeah. My counselor, very unfortunately, has reached the 4th stage of cancer. He has been my counselor for the past three years and I was really counting on him to help me with the admissions process. It was very unfortunate and I really wish him the best of luck. He is an awesome guy.

Problem is, is that I had made him as my point of contact for both my

Candidate Academic Information AND

Candidate Activity Record

I didn't know that he had cancer until recently (He hid the illness very well.) and now I'm not sure where to turn to? because I don't think I can change my point of contact.

Also, on a side note and a lighter matter,

when I order my official transcripts (nominations and academy), do I have to pay them money?

Thank you for your time.

If there are any other counselors at your school that know you well at all, you can surely contact your regional director and explain the situation. A switch wouldn't be hard at all if you go through the proper channels. Good luck to him, to be sure.

As for transcripts, it all depends on your school. My school requires a dollar per transcript, but they allowed me to just copy it a dozen or so times and have them seal each one.

I know from personal experience that the regional director will be more than happy to help you out changing points of contacts. I asked mine through email to change my math teacher and counselor's email addresses and the information was sent (resent) to the new channels promptly. I hope things work out for you and your counselor!
