It's so quiet! I miss the chatter now that Early Action is finished! Our DS has been deferred to RA...so the waiting continues:smile:

DS is driving next week to CGA to have an interview and turn in his latest grades as well as another recommendation. We shall see if it helps...

Late January-Late March is definitely the "quiet time" when it comes to CGA appointment decisions. I am going through the same thing on the civlian side with my daughter who is waiting to hear from her college choices, so I know what the parental "units" are going through. Hopefully the time goes by fast for all of us. Good luck to everybody:eek:

Our mail service has been hit or miss since last Friday. We've only gotten mail once since then and DS is still waiting to hear about EA2. An exercise in extreme patience for him (added to the stress of final exams!)

EA2 deferred

If someone can give me an answer: Out of the 1,017 applicants in EA1 and EA2, how many have been deferred to RA?

By my math, ~837.

Not many "rejections" are issued under EA, although there are a few every year from completely unqualified applicants.

1,017 applications reviewed
162 appointments
18 CGAS
-----------------
837 deferrals to RA

I did not realize that most EA applicants who did not receive either full or conditional appointments were deferred to RA. When I tried to lighten the mood of DS upon receiving deferral by saying, I'm sure more received a "no" than a "not yet", I was incorrect...oops!
We continue to hope that a BFE is in his future:smile:.
