I just have some quick questions on what should juniors be doing right now in the summer...

1) We should be practicing for the CFA right? When do we take it?

2) Most of us have gotten that Dod thing medical paper in the mail. Should we schedule appointments in the summer?

3) When does the real application for the AFA open? Is the online application all there is to it? No essays, or anything o_O? Just submit paperwork, get nominations, and done? I never got anything else in the mail telling me what to do :(...

Thank you people (No really, thanks!)

I think you have to have the CFA done by December sometime.

1. Yes, practice for CFA.

2. Yes, schedule your appointments for the summer. The sooner, the better, because you can get that out of the way and not have to worry about medical qualification.

3. Application is already open. Go to Academyadmissions.com and hit apply now in the bottom left hand corner. If you applied for summer seminar, you should have your profile open now.

Matt, did you apply for summer seminar? If so, then that took care of your pre-candidate application and you should be receiving info soon on how to access the next phase of the application. Last year, the letter telling my son about the next step was dated July 9. And definitely there will be essays, online teacher evaluations, letters of recommendation needed, etc. Everything will be explained in the instruction booklet (online that you can download if you want)--it will be a link during the next phase of the application that I mentioned. THe CFA will be explained in it too. If you've already received info on how to complete your DoDMERB exam, then you have probably initially applied to one of the SA's or an ROTC program--that is the only way to get that information. But definitely schedule those medical exams ASAP so any issues that possibly could come up can be dealt with.
