I am new to this forum, so please bear with me if this question has been asked and answered. I have read back the first 4 pages and haven't seen an answer.

S received an LOA to USNA, subject only to receipt of a nomination, just before the end of the year. A week earlier he received a letter from one of our state's Senators stating that he was well qualified, etc. but that he would not give him a nomination because they had been informed that he had "received a nomination from another source." That's great, but he hasn't yet received a nomination from anyone else.

Question - do the various MOC in a state's congressional delegation keep in touch with each other re: nominations? In other words, can he rely (for his peace of mind only) that he will be receiving a nomination from another source?

Some MOCs do indeed communicate with each other and, in many cases, will not give a nom to someone if another MOC has already given (or intends to give) one to that individual. So, I would believe the MOC to whom you spoke. The other MOC may simply be later in getting out his/her announcements.

I know the Ohio MOCs keep in touch. They try to "spread the wealth" so they can send as many people to SA's as possible

This is exactly what happened with my son. One MOC contacted him and told him he was receiving a nom from the other......sure enough......he did! Mailman stalking commences!

    nomination question

    Also new to forum.
CIS Nomination section states - Congress/Senator 2, received December 22. Son received nomination documentation from Senator. Curious what the Congress/Senator 2 means. Other state senator sent congratulations letter and explained only one nomination is required. Son has not interviewed with local Congressman.

My Son's CIS Nomination Section now states that he has received a nomination from the Congresswoman from our district.
