Great news! I am so excited to see the appointments starting to go out. -officer

False alarm

I've almost perfected my technique for logging onto DODMERB and locating any differences on my daughters status. Well today I log on and immediately noticed a date change. My nerves then got the best of me because all of a sudden I couldn't focus my eyes and got nervous. Dang just another date change. False alarm.

Agency: US Coast Guard Academy
Admission Status: Alternate
Admission Status Change Date: 18-FEB-2010
Current Medical Status: Qualified (as of 19-JAN-10 )

Haha, your daughter was found qualified on the same day I was disqualified. I sent in some strong material to the waiver authority though, so I'm confident that I'll be granted a waiver (if appointed RA).

Ladder,

You're so funny! I'm going to go check son's DoDMERB right now. I thought since it's a government site, they would not be working today or inputting anything. chat with you soon you dodNERD you :shake:-officer

Bang Head Here!

Congratulations Living Large! Hoping we will see you on R-day. I may have to turn in my DoDnerd badge. I tried to get on the DODMERB web site on Thursday only to find out that the password had expired, for the life of me I could not remember the original password since it is in my computer automatically. Needless to say it took a full day to get the password reset. Checked in on Friday only to see that my daughters date changed to February 18th just like LadderdaddyO.

Another great day, another date change!

Same here!

I don't know why dates are changing so often. Maybe they just input his latest seventh semester grades or interview results. I don't know, but seeing so many applicant's dates change at the same time doesn't seem like it's a signifcant event. I've already decided I'm not going to stress over date changes ANYMORE!

Fairwinds, I agree, my daughter communicated with admissions last week and they confirmed that all of her newly submitted information was updated in her file so I guess we will just wait and see what happens.

Smart move. We never figured out the pattern on our son's DoDMERB. Good luck with the patience.

For DODMERB questions, Larry Mullen is the man!! My family wanted to stage an intervention last year because I was on the boards so much, even had the computer facing the mailbox so I could stalk and be online at the same time.

Now I am on the boards 1x a week.

Good luck to all - try to enjoy the ride and stock up on your bubble wrap!!

Shellz and Mindy G,

Thanks for continuing to "check in" here and for the good advice that you offer.

Shellz, I am DONE trying to figure out the rhyme and reason of changing Dodmerb dates. I give up!!

Mindy G, I go back to your posts and Shellz and JCollins often for moral support. It seems like the same scene is repeated year after year; however, it's so nice to hear from the people who have been through it before and truly understand how nerve-racking this time of year really is.

Today, for instance, I "happened" to be looking out the front window when the mailmanlady came and saw her stuffing, yes, stuffing a huge white envelope into our mailbox! I remained calm, and actually waited until she turned off our street, before I hurried out to the box. Imagine my chagrin when it turned out to be my daughter's free tee-shirt for the Carrie Underwood Fan Club!! (no offense, Carrie, but it was not what I was hoping for!)

Well, April 15th really isn't THAT far away, is it???

Well, April 15th really isn't THAT far away, is it???

And March 15th is even sooner! Thinking good thoughts for you fairwinds...and for all who wait for the big, fat, white envelope of JOY!

Are you kidding me right now :shake: It's an eternity.

My husband and boys keeps telling me to "get off the juice" (refering to this forum).

DoDNERDs

Fairwinds-LadderdaddyO-Animal73us-SDad-CGADreamer-LogCabin4-BM3Miller...and all who are waiting.

Finding yourself checking the DoDMERB site every hour? You could be part of an elite group that call themselves, "The DoDNERDS". :shake:

Well, I know it's not officially March yet, but I just can't wait a second longer! The January SAT scores are on their way to CGA, and Objee with his team are busy with all that mail.

A few appointments have come down the line already (congrats to all) during this RA phase, and you never know who might be next.

Anyway, Objee said he would try to let us know by the 16th how many total applicants (EA and RA all rolled together) they are reviewing. Remember CG states that decisions will be made by April 15th, but if you look at past posts, it could be sooner.

Sound-Off gang, who's in stalking mode? -officer

I know that this is the CGA string but as a fellow DODNERD I would like to share some great news. I just check DODMERB and low and behold offer extended for the USNA.:beer1: She sitting next to me and has no idea. I'm going to let her MOC notify her.

Ladderdaddy,

You amaze me being able to sit right next to your daughter and not letting on that you know!! I think that's sooo great to let MOC tell her. I think I'd "bust a gut."

Do you have to hand in your Dodnerd membership card now?
