I was simply wondering how often a plebe would be visiting his/her sponsor family throughout the year. Based on the information that I've gathered from the USNA website, I'm led to believe that I'll be able to visit my sponsor family during my town liberty on Saturdays. I'm posting this question in order to affirm or dispel my assumptions.

As a general rule, plebes in good standing (academically, conduct, PT) are eligible for Saturday afternoon and evening liberty. Assuming you don't have watch/duty or some other military obligation, you should be free to visit your sponsor every Saturday. In reality, you'll probably have watch/duty at least once a month that falls on a Saturday.

However, your sponsor may not be available every WE nor may you want to go there every WE.

In the fall there are also home football games that generally preclude going to the sponsor's home in the afternoon as well.
