Sports during plebe summer

What opportunities are there during Plebe summer, if any, to help you decide what sport you want to go out for? I know there are varsity sports, club and intramural, but are there opportunities to try different sports out and get to know the coaches a little during plebe summer? How does that work?

Unless things have changed you pick one sport and pretty much have to stick with it throughout plebe summer. For varsity and club sports the only one I can speak of as far as coaches is lax and it used to be run over the summer by new ensigns. I think they opperate on the assumption that anyone doing anything beyond intermurals would already know what they want to do. As for inturmurals during the ac year, you can change teams each season, ie: spring, winter, and fall.
