I plan on trying out for baseball at West Point, and was wondering how tryouts worked. I know they are during mass athletics, but that's all the info I currently have. I'm mainly looking for what I should bring in terms of equipment, because I'm trying to keep my stuff on R Day small.

Keep it small....

During Beast its more of a display of all the activities that are avail to you. After A-Day then you can try and walk on. But keep R-Day stuff small.

Push Hard, Press Forward

I'm doing the same thing for lacrosse so I asked someone if I should bring my stick to beast when I went for a visit. They said yes and that you'll just keep it in a room until you need it. But I'm still not quite sure.

Are you a girl or a guy? Sorry, I can't tell from the tiny picture. I'm a girl and a little confused on what to do, since it's only a club sport this year but will be D1 next year...

Lol I'm also a girl. But should we email the new coach or something? Because the current players told me to bring it but I just want to make sure.

Is there a coach already? I have been checking every now and then, but still haven't seen anything announced. I'll look around some more for more info for beast. And I'll let you know if i find anything!:)

Thank you so much! And I'm not quite sure I just remember hearing that were supposed to be getting a D1 level coach this year

The team has just been upgraded to a Varsity sport. I have met a number of the current Cadets who were stand out players in HS and were recruited by other D1 schools, but who choose West Point for all the other reasons.

This should be really fun. There is already lots of talent there, and few expectations. That is a formula that I like -;

Being underestimated, and really strong, never hurts in competition.
