    Hello all.

I've played football my entire life, and discovered the Navy Sprint team as an opportunity to continue playing the sport.

At what point during Plebe Summer do tryouts occur? I understand the Sprint team is composed solely of walk-ons. How competitive is it to make the team?

Finally, if one was to be cut from the team as a Plebe, could they try out again in the next three years?

    Thank you all!

    Sprint Football

You will be able to try out during Plebe summer for the Sprint Team. This try out consists of a great deal of conditioning to see if you really want to be there. Make no bones about it, the Sprint team is a varsity sport and is very competetive. These guys were standouts on their high school team but just not big enough to play at the Div I level. Coach Lake is a high intensity guy. The Sprint players seem to have a special bond and I would highly recommend you give it a shot. Also, I believe you can try out every year.

Would a plebe be able to try out for both D1 and Sprint football if he doesn't make one or the other?
