Does the Sprint Football team recruit athletes the same as the varsity team?
 
Navy does not recruit for Sprint. I know this because I talked to Coach Lake.

Army does recruit for sprint, which is probably why they won the championship the past 2 yrs
 
Navy Sprint Football is a very good team. I know the 2nd team QB. Army beat this year, which cost them the championship, this year. Lake is a good coach.

During Plebe summer they will have "try out" periods which consist of a ton of conditioning to see who really wants to be there. About half of the Plebes quit at this time then the remaining players are evaluated by Coach Lake and he makes final cuts. Very competetive. These guys are hard core and can play! They are a tight knit group of brothers!

Contact Coach Lake if you have a strong interest in playing. The sooner the better.

I talked with a plebe who's on the team. I want to say he said 172, but it might be 192. Definitely one of those two.
