Are any still flying... anywhere??

if so are there air shows that it flys at?

I just want to see one fly. I know they've been out of the military for almost 20 years now but they are SICK

The AF is not flying any currently. There were a few on loan to NASA but I believe they ceased operations prior to 2000. Sadly, I doubt you'll ever see one at an airshow.

They were pretty awesome to see.

+1 to B1. Being a relatively short distance their base in MO, have seen it several times at airshows and football games. Last time, was driving to a local airshow, running a little late. DS was driving. Was scanning the sky to see if anything was in the air.

Suddenly, the B1 appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. It had been flying level at a low altitude and banked steeply, thus seeming to appear out of nowhere. Very cool.

Don't miss a British Vulcan Bomber. Very large with swept wings. Also very cool to watch banking.

For sound, nothing beats a B17.

SR 71 Blackbird was beautiful. Saw some on the ground at U-Tapao one day. Crew chief said, You see those aircraft over there? His answer was no you don't. Used to see them on radar going north from U-Tapao out for base in Guam and then back again on another run. They would climb and then hit the burners and go to eighty or ninety thousand feet and two sweeps would be off the screen. Officer on duty would try to erase them from the plot board before local AF asked what they were. Watched some BUFF strikes when BROMO used to give us an update if a strike was close across the river.
