Hi, I filled out my application for SS on 12/18. I included my PSAT scores 65V + 61M, but not the writing as it said it was optional and mine was 48W. I did not include my Nov SAT: 570V, 580M, 560W. On the website it still says my file has not been processed.

Should I include more info and when will I get a response?
Thank you.

Feel free to update. Last year no one heard before about the third week of January. My son was out for a visit there Jan 12 and met his counselor then. She told him none had been mailed yet at that point and he (and several others on these boards) heard about a week later. Incidentally, unlike WP's, my son never received anything from AF - no email or letter. It just showed on his online application that he'd been accepted.

Would it hurt your SS application if you submitted the example's (AVT's) SAT scores also? I know for the actual file they look at your bests, but am not sure about SS app.

Not sure if anyone knows. I will say though that from what I've seen/heard, it seems like WP and Navy rely on those ACT/SAT/PSAT scores a lot more heavily for SS than AF does. AF allows you to a submit a whole resume with that application, so you get a chance to show all your achievements. Both the WP/Navy applications were much more yes/no, click the right bullet point, and I think the test scores and class rank are the main criteria. Of course for the actual application they all consider everything more.

Continue to work hard on SAT prep to bring your Math and CR to 1300 to 1350 and if you don't get a summer seminar slot DON'T give up.
