Hi I am trying to accomplish as much as possible with regards to congressional and other nominations to academy before I leave for my prep school. In the requirements for consideration my congressman would like a copy of my personal statement to the academy. So my question is am I supposed to write just a thought up one to the academy or should I take their essay question and use that?

You should contact your congressman's office; (S/He has someone who takes care of academy nominations); and have them clarify for you. There are some thing that you need to go to the source for. There's currently 435 United States Representatives; representing 435 districts. And each one has their own little way they run things. This is one of those times that getting an answer on a forum has a 1 in 435 chance of being correct. I think I'd contact your representative's office if I was you. Good luck. Mike....

Thanks

Ok I will definately call his office first thing in the morning to clarify. Thank you for help
