So you know, you cannot go by "averages" as a whole. There are average ACT and SAT test scores for competitive states like California and Texas (more people and closer to military bases). Also "average" SAT and ACT scores for recruited athletes. Additionally averages ACT and SAT scores for non-recruited athletes (sometimes referred to as "NARP": Non-A athletic Regular People"). Additionally, the bar seems to raise year-after-year like every competitive school. So to assume a specific SAT test scores are above "average" can be meaningless. But a perfect SAT score always helps (yet not often achieved).
