Still haven't heard

Yep. My DS's portal also updated today. But still says "Candidate" as well. Hang in there everyone!
 
What's everyone's portal looking like today? I have not been able to access my file -- we page says it's synchronizing. But, that's been going on for hours.

Mine says it is synchronising. And on the bottom:

I'm thinking that if we haven't received a yes or a no yet --- we are probably waiting for others to decline an appointment? I say this because I don't think I would be high enough on the NWL for them to keep my file-- they would send the TWE. If I'm correct, this waiting game could go on for a few more weeks.

Is everyone waiting to hear about acceptance into USAF academy and/or prep school - DODMERB qualified too?

Yes; my DS has passed all of the hurdles (good GPA, SATs, CFA, nomination, etc.) and is now waiting.
 
Emailed Admission counselor over weekend, he was nice enough to reply Monday morning, no decision on DS slate yet. He is not allowed to disclose where DS ranked on submitted slate... MA-06... my guess is they have sent out an appointment by now.... and are waiting on the appointee to accept. Anyone with MA-06 nom and or appointment out there?
 
In case anyone else is waiting, I received my AFROTC scholarship results today. The email ended up in my junk folder but it was on the application when I checked. Might provide some encouragement after a long weekend if they have updated yours. Best of luck everyone.
 
I recommend sending any deposits you might have to guarantee dorms or spots. However you want to look at it. It will not be a loss of a great deal if you get your appointment and it does guarantee your spot somewhere else of your choosing. Four years ago, we lost our deposit to Tulane, until today I hadn't even thought about it. You just don't care after you get your appointment. DD will graduate from USAFA this year. Her appointment arrived via phone call from her counselor on May 2nd, 2010. She had 4-5 days to consider her options and they called everyday just about to ask. She was on her senior trip, so I fielded all the calls. The rest is history.

I'm MA-08 with a senatorial nomination as well as congressional. I was appointed early action. Good luck to your son!

There is a MA 6 appointment on the USMA appointee thread.
 
I know the Academy is on spring break, but can we expect more appointments to roll out Thursday?
