Still haven't received a letter for DODMERB

Hello all,

I recently received a principal nomination for the USAFA. Everything in my file is complete. However, I have not received a letter detailing my appointment for the DODMERB. I had the proper components of my file completed around December 8th. By this time, I would have expected it. Does anyone know when it is usually sent? In addition, would not having my DODMERB completed by the 31st affect my appointment? I've read that it wouldn't, but I'm unsure.

Sounds strange to me. We received our request for medical exam and were assigned a local dr as soon as our app was 60% complete at USNA. Have you had your eye and medical exam? If so, you should be able to review your medical status on the dodmerb website. dodmerb review takes about 30 days after the physical. If you haven't received a request to schedule your physical, call the academy asap. Since you have a Principal nomination the academy is required by law to offer you an appointment if you are qualified, academically, physically and medically. I don't think that you can receive an appointment until the medical is complete. You need to get that done especially if you need to go thru the waiver process which can take even longer.

Thanks for the response. I checked the DODMERB website and created an account. It then told me that I had an appointment scheduled over a month ago...I never received the mail, however. At least now I know! Time to get that rescheduled.
