Still no BFE

We are on the same boat. DS was told by his BGO that he will be receiving a conditional appointment letter and his Admissions Counselor confirmed that it was mailed Jan 30th. He was given the conditional appointment due to his medical portion being in a remedial status dated 22 Jan. Took care of the first remedial and it came back again for a second remedial dated 6 Feb. Sent back the required medical records they were seeking and finally his status changed to "Qualified" 18 Feb. To this date we still haven't received the LOA. So since he is now fully qualified will he be getting the BFE instead of the LOA? So from what others are saying it seems like they are lagging behind the paperwork and with so many applicants to process it may be just that and to "Hurry up and wait". So for now we are part of the Mailman Stalker club.

It took my DD two weeks to received her BFE after the MOC call. DD received a letter from the MOC confirming the appointment about three days after the call. For what it's worth, mail in the Annapolis area appears REALLY SLOW right now. Case in point, DD sent her acceptance of appointment letter back, first class/certified mail to USNA on Monday, 2/16. IT STILL HASNT ARRIVED IN ANNAPOLIS. Should have arrived in 2-3 days. Today I received an automated notice from USPS that mail in the area is delayed (likely weather related). So, don't fret it. It is coming. Relax, enjoy, breathe. And Congrats. Oh, and use UPS or FEDEX.
 
I'm encouraged to hear your story DS2017DD2019. This is our first child to go through the process and I won't be telling anyone on these boards anything they don't already know when I say that applying to a military academy is a heck of a lot different than applying to civilian universities. I think I'm making my mail carrier a little nervous!

Aidanrockne- where are you located? We are in Idaho and still waiting for that BFE that was supposedly sent out on Feb. 12.

We live in southern California. No BFE yesterday, either . . . Our son just texted us from high school asking if someone is home watching the mail. I'm going to need a vacation when this process is over!

I ordered something last Monday, 2/16... It has been put on a truck everyday since last Tuesday to be delivered to my house and has not made it due to delayed delivery because of inclement weather. Guess I am too lazy to just go pick up the item. I have turned into a mailbox stalker too! Hahaha! All kidding aside, I say that to show how messed up mail has been in parts of the country due to weather. I hope the BFEs arrive soon and best of luck to all those stalking!
 
Aidanrockne- I am happy to answer any questions you have as you go through this process as a parent. Some things will be easier knowing what's to come the second time around. This time it's my daughter and youngest child of three. I might be a little more apprehensive!

Aidanrockne- Still not in the mail today. It's coming up on two weeks since it was mailed. I'm thinking it would be faster if we had some of those athletic Mids deliver by foot all the BFE's this hard winter.

Don't worry, those of you that have heard from MOC but haven't received the BFE, you are not alone. We are in the same boat. DD heard from MOC on Friday the 13th that she received an appointment and was told the official package from USNA should arrive the next week...coming up on two weeks and still nothing. We are in Georgia. I wouldn't worry, between Presidents Day, (a federal holiday for USNA) and the weather related closures both at USNA and all over the country, mail is moving very very slow. And I thought I was done mail box stalking!
 
My BFE was also supposed to be mailed 2/12 and has not arrived. Live in Indiana. Hang in there!
 
It's strange that a lot of the 2/12 BFE mailings are this delayed. Pennsylvania, Indiana, Idaho and California. If it doesn't show up before I-day, I'm still going and I'll just have to let my son know how it went. Hang in there everyone!

Same thing here in VA. UPS took an extra week to get me 3 packages. Regular mail has been fine. I keep stalking the mailbox.
 
BFE arrived in CA. Instead of being mailed on the 12th, it was signed on the 13th and mail-stamped on the 23rd. Alls well that ends well. Hang in there everyone who is still waiting and best of luck to all!
