Ok, so now the brain is all over the place. Since it's getting down to the wire....Will the academy still give the MOC a week to contact the candidate before sending out envelope? The thread on Tuesday's Envelope stuffing has me wondering if they mail out ASAP or do they keep them and wait the week?
Guess it's a guess on anyone's part......

between stalking the mailbox, this forum and caller id we are getting ulcers:confused:

First, USNA TRIES to notify everyone by 15 APR...but this isn't a date written in stone.
Second, I can't see why the same protocol with MOC's being notified would not be used...it might not take you a week to get the letter, though. Admissions could call the MOC the day the decision is made -- meaning you still wouldn't get the letter that day, anyhow. This is also made on the assumption, that your MOC would inform you (which apparently, isn't always the case).

All you can do is wait....I recommend that for the next three weeks to engage in activities that distract you from thinking about the process; I know it's hard...but it isn't worth losing sleep over...you can't change when you will be informed by USNA.

Just thought this might calm the nerves a little but I never got a call from my MOC. One day I came home and out of the blue there was a BFE sitting on my dining room table, so even though they do call all of the MOC's, some don't call the appointees, hope this helps those who are still waiting.

MOC call

Our MOC (Dem) wasn't re-elected either but the new Congressman (Repub) who won his district called our son personally two weeks ago for his USAFA Appointment just as if it had been his office.... Don't know if that is normal but it was seamless to us..

No news either way with the USNA yet tho....

Your waiting is over now. I'm sorry for your TWE. After you recover from this disappointment, put your energy into your backup plan. Best wishes.
