First, I should probably introduce myself since this is my first time posting on this forum. My name is Joe and I'm a Junior in High school. Since I don't want to forgo a college education, but still want to join the Air Force, I'm convinced that the Air Force ROTC program is the best choice for me. Now on to my question. One thing I didn't mention was the fact that I stutter. I've stuttered my entire life and am currently in speech therapy (just started in June). I've made progress in the way I stutter and in the way I respond to it, but I'll always stutter to some extent since there is no cure for stuttering. Throughout all of my life I've faced adversity from ignorant people who see stuttering as a "physical manifestation of psychological issues", but I digress. My question is simple: will stuttering disqualify me from passing the medical exam by the DODMERB? I know that the passing of this test is essential in being accepted into the ROTC program. According to the Air Force's website, I meet all of the requirements for acceptance into the program, but it also says that I have to be qualified by the DODMERB. Anyway, sorry for the long post, but this really concerns me. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

i don't know if it will DQ you, all i know is that during the DODMERB test, you must read aloud a funny little paragraph. so it will deffinetly be noted. i wish you the best of luck!
