suggestions/tips for AFROTC field training?

Know the FTM/AM -- tab them. Don't overpack. Ensure your boots are broken in... This year they're changing FT a bit, gearing it more towards critical thinking rather than utter knowledge and competence of marching a flight. Any suggestions/tips beyond the above would ruin the experience imho.

They are going to give you a list for the bag drag. The list is very detailed...down to the color of the pens and how many razors.

The only suggestion I would give is dont skimp on the moleskin. Buy the best quality.

- Goldbond will be your best friend, bring a good size bottle of it.
- bring envelopes and stamps. You'll feel so good being able to write back home.
- I recommend compression shorts over boxers/briefs.
- bring extra socks, undergarments, shirts. Laundry can become a huge Charlie Foxtrot and you don't want to be without any clean shirts or dry socks
- don't be a DG hunter
