Summer seminar 2011

I haven't heard anything yet. District 09 Michigan. I'm beginning to cast doubt on the US Postal system. I submitted my app within minutes of the link being active on the first day. I plan to call the laison officer on Monday.
 
sent mine out 30 minutes after the link was posted. No response yet. Im from Washington. anyone else from WA?
 
well im from CA, district 46? i believe. We'll if you guys ever get accepted, reply! haha i want to know. AFA already accepted me and i submitted to theirs later than USMA. i guess USMA has more applicants or something.
 
I'm pretty sure they do a rolling admissions for USMA SLS, so I guess it's not terribly strange that people haven't heard yet.

I guess, on the upside, it's good to know that at least you haven't been rejected yet! :thumb:

It is the opposite for me. I have been waiting on USAFA SS for 2 months now. One month of waiting for it to be processed, and another of being under consideration. USMA SLS, on the other hand, accepted me the day after i applied. That was almost a week ago.

I was pretty much just in the same boat as you.

I got accepted to USMA SLS pretty much immediately (going to session 2 BTW) and I applied to USAFA SS the moment it opened and I didn't get accepted until tonight.

I guess just be patient and hopefully it will work out. On the upside though, at least you're going to SLS!
 
I plan on sending back the SLS packet this weekend. Waiting a little bit just in case i hear from AF. I have to go to seesion 2 because my school doesn't end until June 2nd. And hopefully they won't add on days at the end of the school year. . . SNOW DAY NUMBER 2 TOMORROW BABY!
 
DrSeuss27, I'm in your boat as well. I guess we just have to be patient! It's tough, I know, but Snow day number 2? I just had my snow day NUMBER 6! Pennsylvania snow storms...

I'm district 8 and got my letter at beginninng of january (and i applied mid december) saying I am on a waiting list for it. my friend that is also in my dustrict hasnt heard anything though. so if i am on a waiting list is there a chance or is it their nice way of saying no? i am an official candidate though
 
There are 3 categories that SLS applicants fall into: Offered, Waiting List or Not Selected.

The waiting list is used to fill the SLS class.
Therefore, being on the waiting list means you still have a chance or else you would have been 'Not Selected'.
 
Im from washington 08 and I got into SLS over christmas break and air force soon after - just sent in my navy app and am doing my coast gaurd
 
How can you check to see if you're on the waiting list, etc or not? Is it like USAFA where you can check your profile updates?

Well unfortunately I got my letter today saying that I was not accepted. I sent in my application late though (last week) and found out today. It did say that I have become an official candidate, had an impressive application etc. Is that pretty much standard in the letter to everyone who was declined or is that a good sign for me? Id like to think that my application really was impressive and that Im an official candidate instead of them just saying that to "ease the pain"...
