About a month ago, I was accepted to session 2 of summer seminar. What can I do to make the most out of the experience and really make myself stand out? (I really want to attend the academy NOT for the tuition costs or prestige but rather to serve my country and pursue a career as an officer). I attended the Candidate Visit Weekend this past September and have decided that the academy is where I really want to be and a military career is for me. I digress from my original point--what can I do to really stand out at Summer Seminar?

Search prior posts on this topic in the June/July 2010 timeframe. Lots of folks who attended NASS last year wrote about what to do and not do.

    Summarized:

    The DO's

    • Be in good physical shape
    • Be a team player
    • Do your best in all events

    The DON'Ts

    • "Suck up" or "brown nose"
    • Show up your squadmates
    • Complain
