I just completed my summer seminar application for USNASS. I was wondering how long it would take for me to get a reply back?

I was given a CVW a couple weeks after applied, but didn't hear about summer seminar until April... I didn't grt in sadly.

DS applied mid Feb and received acceptance 12 days later via email, nothing in mail.

DS applied February 7th and we haven't heard anything. He wasn't selected for USAFA SS, so hopefully he gets better results here.

Is there specific data on the application that would trigger the acceptance email? I hate to be negative, but if they've reviewed applications from the first week of February and DS didn't get an email where others did...does that mean he's less likely to be accepted for SS?

As someone told me on here before, it will probably come down to who else applied in the area. From my understanding they may be holding out to see if some absolute stud applied from the same area if your region is competitive. Also SS is supposedly big on trying to get kids from underrepresented areas to attend and gain interest in the academy. So i wouldn't fret about it just yet even though it's so hard to be patient. Best of luck to your son hope to see him there!!

I was notified of acceptance on February 12th, but if I were you I'd take that with a grain of salt. I'm from an underrepresented region and also applied on the opening day!

Thanks! We're from a pretty populated section of California, so we might be waiting until the end.

My DD found out she was selected on February 24th. She found out on March 6th that she was also selected for the USAFA SS. She chose the USAFASS and declined the NASS, so maybe you will get her spot :) Good luck and don't despair if you don't get selected. It has no bearing on whether or not you will receive an appointment in the SA.
