Hello, I've been selected for the Air Force Academy Summer Seminar and I was wondering if it is worth going too. I understand that it would give me an excellent view of what cadet life is like, however, I am not interested in seeking an appointment to Air Force Academy(no foreign language majors), my main choice is USMA. Also, the date conflicts with a sporting event I extremely want to attend. Please just give me the pros and cons of the summer program and be honest. Thank you

If you're not interested in attending USAFA there is no reason for you to attend Summer Seminar.

Agree, don't attend. Try to visit West Point if possible.

Also, next month I am visiting the Naval Academy (my second choice) for a weekend and shadowing a cadet, so I am excited for that.

Ethan, I agree with Stealth, if you're not interested, don't go. It will open up a spot for someone who really wants to go but did not get selected. Also, from what I have read, it is a good idea to use an anonymous name on this forum. Perhaps the administrator can help you change it, or you might have to make a new personna. Good luck in your endeavors. Keep trying to be the best you can be. :)
