Summer Training 2016

I'm headed to CIET later this summer. But I am not sure the dates. I was told 7th regiment so 15jul-12aug but on the CIET website it says 7th regiment graduation wasn't until Aug 14. Are sessions supposed to be 28 days and we arrive on day zero and leave day 28 or? Were you told what paperwork to bring? I wasn't told much. I'm going to talk to my captain tomorrow.@military101

CIET 1st regiment was supposed to begin June 3rd- ending next week.

Any one have any information (and/or suggestions, tips) for those cadets going later; and for parents wondering what this years CIET is like, and what type of communication to expect? As always thank you!

Here is a link to the CLC and CIET schedule from another post -- this has been tracking pretty well so far for Summer 2016

Also here is a link to what appears to be a good CIET description:

Parents -- don't expect a lot of communication -- DS is in 2nd CIET Regiment. Have had 2 texts and no phone calls since start on 8 June. (DS' Girlfriend has received more texts than Mom and Dad have received -- but not a lot more ;)). The Army appears to be keeping them pretty busy. DS went "into the field" on 18 June and comes back to barracks tomorrow 29 June. Haven't heard a peep while they are in the field (which makes sense.) Hoping to hear something from him later this week.

My DS is in the CIET 1st Regiment. We did not hear much until the last few days. There was a 14 day period of no contact where they were very busy with training. Appears they have their phones now and are a bit bored awaiting family day and graduation on 2July and 3July.

My son is in 3rd regiment. I have been able to text with him a lot more than I thought I would be able to. I have had the least amount of contact while in the field, but still have gotten to get a short occasional text.
