Does USNA superscore across the ACT and SAT? For example, if candidate gets a 27 on ACT for math but a 700 for SAT math, do they ignore the 27 and look at the 700 while at the same time look at the 33 on english and ignore the 650 on verbal?

They do have a sheet that will "convert" an ACT to an SAT equivalent and vice-versa.

It is my understanding from a conference I had with my USNA counterpart that they do NOT "mix" the two.

Not true. They do mix and match the various tests...the scores might be converted first (i.e. ACT scores converted to SAT scores) so all scores are on the same scale. However, a candidate should not "slack" off if they have already excelled in one area and are "only" trying to improve another. In other words, if a candidate scored 400 verbal/800 math SAT...the ACT shouldn't look like 30 English/15 math.
