Surgery after dodmerb qualification

I have been offered an appointment to USMA, and I plan to accept, but just to mention something. My doctor recommended I get my tonsils removed because they are swollen and after a CAT scan, he recommended that I have septoplasty to fix my slightly out of alignment nasal passages. Would these surgeries disqualify me? Since both are optional at this time, most likely indefinitely, if they are in any way disqualifying I will choose to wait until I get to West Point to have surgery.

You'll need to report them to DODMERB, which will likely request your medical records from the surgery. I'm not a doctor but would have to believe that, if you recover fully which you obviously should in short order, you'll have no issues. However, you may want to confirm that with DODMERB.
