Son is in Charlie Co. so I expect he'll be on the first Eagle trip. How do the SWABS get from New London to Rockland, ME? By bus? When do they leave New London? Friday morning July 24TH?

Son is in Charlie Co. so I expect he'll be on the first Eagle trip. How do the SWABS get from New London to Rockland, ME? By bus? When do they leave New London? Friday morning July 24TH?

Could be train or bus (air would be doubtful). Or half could go by train and half could go by bus. Or they could go by train to Portland and then bus to Rockland. Or any other combination. (not trying to be a wise-guy, but that's the reality of it.)

And they could find out Thursday they are going by bus and on Saturday morning it could change to the train. ( semper what? )

They will probably leave Saturday morning, or they could leave Saturday afternoon right after Mystic Flag Ceremony, as they did last year. (2012 A/B/C companies did not miss Mystic but they left immediately after the ceremony).

If you look at the schedule for Eagle on the USCGA site, it looks like the first group of Swabs will miss the Flag Ceremony (assuming it is on Saturday, July 25th). Since our D is in Alfa, I'm guessing we won't make the trip for the Flag Ceremony since she won't be there anyway. At least, we won't be making room reservations until we hear otherwise I guess we will have to wait two more weeks before we hear anything more definite
