Hello! I have a quick question about teacher recommendations. Not sure if other states have this program, but Florida offers duel enrollment to high school sophomores and up. It allows students who qualify to take both high school and college classes for free. I am in duel enrollment and have not had an english teacher or science teacher since my sophomore year. In the teacher recommendations, can a past teacher recommend me? im only asking because they are not my current teachers . and if not, can my professors from my college english and biology recommend me? Any advice is well appreciative! Thank you and happy new year to you all.

It looks like you are a junior/class of 2019. USMA will want your 11th grade (or 12th grade) english, math & chemistry or physics teachers to fill out a SOE (school official evaluation), but they may allow your college teachers to do so if you don't actually have a high school teacher assigned for the dual enrollment classes. My DS's school offers dual enrollment through the local community college, but it's not free and a high school teacher teaches the class. If you pay the college tuition fee per class (and pass), you get dual credit. When you get to the full USMA application, you'll see where you have to enter a teacher's e-mail under the 3 subjects I listed above.

College Professors

WP will accept college professors who taught dual enrollment class people. I think it's actually a plus.
