Does anyone have a terminology key? My daughter has a possible appointment for the 2018 class and I'd like to interact on here and sound like I know what I'm talking about. Ex. DS/DD etc... Thank you for any help.
 
You pick up on it pretty quickly. Just learn as you go and ask someone if you don't know what they said - most people are very courteous to newcomers.

DS = Dear Son
DD = Dear Daughter

Remember, this is the military we are talking about. They will acronym you to death. ;)

Make it sticky!

Alphabet soup is making my head hurt. May I suggest making this thread sticky to this forum, or copying the acronym list into a new sticky thread here?
 
Thanks for all the help everyone! As a former Marine and Professional Firefighter/Paramedic I am OAO, "officially acronymed out". Watching our daughter through this process is awesome and we look forward to helping her along this journey. BTW she can't wait to get her BFE...:)
