My DS submitted the SLE application on 1/15. He did not enter PSAT scores or ACT scores. He has both. Will he even be considered for SLE, or does he need to have all information on file? He didn't feel his scores were respectable (they are, as junior) and didn't want them on his file.

Please advise. Thank you!

From the USMA website

Here are some preliminary requirements to attend the SLE:

SLE Applicants must:

be a high school junior (current year)
be a US citizen
reach the age of 17 by July 1, 2015 (the year they would be a USMA freshman)
MUST have a valid PSAT, PLAN, SAT or ACT test score

Doesn't look like your DS's application will be considered if he doesn't submit SOME scores. I would have him submit both. He can always add new scores to his candidate application as he takes the tests and gets better scores.

Not only will he not be considered for SLE, he won't be considered to be able to move on to the second phase of the application until scores arrive.

You DS will/should get a letter posted to his portal (or mailed, or emailed) telling him all of this some time this spring.

Thank you both. He submitted a request to have the scores entered this evening.
