Son just received nomination letter from Congressman Ted Poe, TX District 2!:smile:
 
I was starting to get frustrated with the wait, so I took the dog out for a walk...in the dark and in the pouring rain. Our mailbox in on another street, and when i saw the letter from the congressman I knew it could go either way. By the time I got back to the house, the dog, the letter and I were soaking wet and my son didn't know what the fuss was all about.

He left the interview confident he received the nomination, and there it was.

Will anyone in my family get excited about anything??????!!!!!!!!!!!:groupwave::groupwave:
 
I've read it before on this forum and I'm starting to believe it is true...this wait is harder on us than our kids!!

I just saw your post on USAFA site. Congrats!!! No LOA for my son. He just sent in application to USNA after they showed some flexibility on his CFA deadline (broke his collarbone in August). USAFA had no flexibility on deadline so he had to withdraw application to USAFA. he notified Poe, Cornyn, and Hutchison that he withdrew his app.....stopped the nomination process in mid Oct. then USNA showed interest so he scrambled to get the word out... At least we know that Ted Poe heard him!!
 
Glad to hear that your son followed through on the interest from USNA and was able to receive a nomination. When 1 door shuts, another always opens!
