Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the help over the past few years. I'm not exaggerating when I say you guys are a huge reason for why I was able to see it through to the end. To anyone applying for 2017 or beyond, I only have one piece of advice. On these forums, you will hear again and again how to perfect yourself and your file to stand the best chance possible for acceptance. But life isn't about being perfect. Sometimes something can happen that will throw you. Sometimes things can go drastically the wrong way. If you look at the application process, and West Point, and life in general as a series of checks on a predetermined list, a crisis like that can be a deal breaker. So don't look at life that way. You can't overcome obstacles if there aren't any in your way. Embrace that. Embrace them. And do not give up. I almost did. It would have been the biggest regret of my life. It's R-Day time. I'm as ready as I'll ever be. And thanks again to all of you for helping me find my way.
