Just a short note of thanks to everyone for helping this "plebe" quickly climb a steep (and twisting) learning curve. The USNA admission process has a language and culture all its own. Good luck to all candidates. I will be deliberately taking a back seat to DS, as he must own this from start to finish. I am grateful, though, for this forum as a means to keep DS' Old Man in the loop as to process and lingo.

It is a wonderful time for you. Yes, stress, separation, and all sorts of trials and tribulations are ahead.

It passes so quickly that before you know it, the separation won't be Annapolis to your house, it will be from the Persian Gulf or Afghanistan to your house. That is when you'll realize that free education wasn't so free.

All in all it is a wild and wonderful rollercoaster. Congrats on having a son that is one of the best!
