All you parents and relatives are making a huge difference at the academy every Thursday afternoon as you bake for Cookie Cafe. Thank you. We get 120 dozen a week of homebaked cookies, and the midshipmen eat them up, with big smiles on their faces. Thanks. You help the morale.

YEA!!! We now have the ultimate KP supporter aboard as a member.

Welcome to the message board, I hope you stick around to pass on the advice and wisdom you have gained by being around the midshipmen on such a regular basis!

cookiecafemom - explain in more detail what you do.
Is this done by locals or do supporters mail them to you?
What is the Cookie Cafe?

I will have the pleasure of once again seeing (and tasting) the Cookie Cafe in action next week, when the company I work for helps the wonderful volunteers and our Cookie Cafe friends to support the Cookie Mission!

And, for Cookie Cafe rookies, here's their lovely website. Close your eyes and you can smell the cookies...

Capt. MJ~
I'll be there to help next week. Thanks for posting the website. Just getting ready to do that when I saw you had it taken care of it.

We've had a blast helping with this!

This is one of the best things individuals and Parent Associations can do on a regular basis to help the Mids.

If you have an opportunity to go and help, by ALL means.. you owe it to YOURSELF to see it in action:thumb:.
ALL contributions and help are appreciated -- although, I must admit, I have YET to eat another peanut butter cookie (after helping bake a billion-dozen of them, you sort of aren't as fond of them as you once were )

Special thanks to ALL who make this happen!

PS. Thanks to Capt MJ for the link/info, and the tireless efforts made for Quality Assurance of the cookies <brushes crumbs off lap, now>

best part of the regular week. hands down. thanks to everyone that helps make it happen:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::thumb:

Being from California, we do not get the privilege of seeing our 4c Mid as often as we would like (or what the wallet can support). It is one of the easiest ways to feel more connected with the school and with the Mids!! Cookies are sent monthly and knowing that a little bit of home is shared with so many is well worth it!! :thumb:

Any parent who has any doubt about the volunteer support for their Mids at KP need only learn about the Cookie Cafe and the dedication of the people who make it possible.

All other Parent's Associations and Cadet/Mid welfare orgs should be jealous. :thumb:
