It was 10 years ago. Watched the film and discussed in one of my law classes.

Who knows? It was moderately entertaining and not exactly a feel-good Coast Guard story.

I didn't think so!!!

I honestly would have just posted this in your other thread about the CGA cheating "scandal." I missed this until now.

It is discussed at the Academy. For me, it was discussed in a law course as well as my Morals and Ethics course which was specifically for government majors. There is a non-government major morals and ethics class and I'm sure it is discussed there as well but I can't say that with 100% confidence. I've also discussed it with the Command on my cutter. On Sunday afternoons, my ship's Wardroom holds hour-long Wardroom Leadership Sessions geared towards mentoring junior officers on everything from advanced education programs and second tour options to how to manage a division. Simas Kudirka has been a part of those conversations. As LITS said, it's definitely not a feel-good Coast Guard story but it is a story worth learning.
