The Final Week of Beast is Here

If a NC is on medical profile and doesnt complete the test for record do I assume she will not be allowed Labor Day Pass? What if she passed it at beginning of Beast?

The flaw with that theory is that those who are suffering from lower extememity injuries are given a "profile" and do not take the record APFT. There are as many reasons for not passing an APFT as there are folks who don't pass. Those who fail will be given 90 days to remediate and retake the test. There may well be some folks who were planning to take a pass over Labor Day who are now quite unhappy...

Profiles are only written for those who seek them. Many are also written as "self-paced." There are always a handful of folks who try to gut out at PT test despite injury.

Some kids failedbecause they cannot physically hack it. They are a tiny minority but you always have them. They will wash out in their own time.

There are as many reasons for failing a PT test as there are people taking it.

I understand. Do you want to accept the friendly cup of espresso bet then? To the winner, caffeine .

I'm always up for caffeine!! Don't even care if I have to buy!

BTW, talked to faculty there last night who said that the biggest factor yesterday was the weather -- the humidity in particular...

I thought they did the AFPT 2 days ago, avoiding the hot/humid weather?

So, does the 90% figure include everyone or excluding the injured NC, or we have to bet and wait for the results?

Well tomorrow is the big day. Congratulations to all those who have made it this far and to their friends and family for helping them get to where they are today. In a little over twelve hours the New Cadets will put their training to the test as they encounter the rest of the Corps. Remember to use your team leaders as they will be your most valuable resource throughout your first year.

Received the latest letter from my NC who was very depressed because he got a "C" from the 2nd Beast detail. Time is so short to A-day. I don't have time to write back, and don't know what to say either. I knew he wanted a "A" so bad.
