"The Wait List" Club.....

So, has anyone heard anything yet? Only 3 more days until the 7th then I guess we'll start to hearing if anyone gets a positive phone call and BFE. I'm not a control freak, but I will be glad when the unknown is known and life can take on a plan again. If no USCGA, DS needs to get a job for the summer and it's not fair to an employer to have a lot of what ifs?
 
:bang: I have to admit it HAS been quiet lately but I think that's only because they are probably going through who declined appointments since May 1 was on a saturday...Can you imagine? Having to choose again from an even smaller list of who should rec an appt? UUUgh! :bang: then along with choosing who will attend AIM on top of all this! And here we sit checking this forum I don't know HOW many times just to see if there are any updates...I must channel from Kramer once again... :shake:

Hang in there Disey; I know you've been a real trooper. This is a really hard time, but be encouraged that your son has done sooo well to be on the wait list. I'm certain he's a great kid. Just a little longer my friend. :smile: -officer
 
Officer....hangin in there, fingers and toes and every wishful thought is crossed! I am especially proud of our son...applied, declined, attended his second choice & "knocked it outta the park!" and reapplied again to get to this point...CGA will be posting soon enough...But your words are reassurring and thanks for the pick me up!! Have a blast hiking!! :thumb:
 
Hey Disey3 - I'm still hanging in there with you. Just a few more days and hopefully we will see some positive post on this thread. Crossing my fingers for your son and mine!
 
Tomorrow is the 7th, has anyone been the recipient of some good news?:smile: I know Objee must be buried under mounds of paper work, but it would be nice to hear from them. Probably, just not enough hours or hands available.:frown:
 
No news in WI, very quite, we did get an e-mail this weekend from our DD admission partner (who interviewed her for the academy) congratulating her on making the wait list.
 
Remember appointees had until May 1 to accept or decline...thus some "waiting list" appointments may be coming SOON.:eek:
 
Thinking only good thoughts for all you still waiting! Our son notified backup schools/scholarships last week when official packet came from CGA and some are only starting to respond. This may be the case for CGA...just sifting through the notifications of rejections and getting ready to make someone's day with an email or phone call! Good luck!!!!

Boss, some may have as late as 15 May to respond depending when their offer of appointment was extended to them, keeping others waiting :thumbdown:

Well, I hope that we hear good news starting tomorrow. Just saw a CG Helo and a CG plane over head and wished for that BFE. Hopefully it was a good omen, and not an actual rescue mission. The winds were pretty strong on LI Sound today.

Okay folks! Shoreside, longrun12, ynot12, bozrah0307, upstatedad, yankeesfan, jderrane, animal73 us, capolo 13 and rocky33....Hike those shorts up and get ready for another week of sitting on pins and needles! I've been saying a lil prayer for all of us...We've made it this far and haven't cracked! We can get through another week of waiting.... :shake:
 
Yup, disey3, it's a new week of hope! Spent the weekend celebrating my daughter's college graduation! Would love to keep the party going! Saying prayers for all the waiters. Stay cool and keep the faith....

This week and next week should be "da" weeks with some notifications!
Just hope some are from this forum. :thumb:

Don't mind me but I figured if our "thread" is seen up top...Luigi or Objee might post here someday.....LOL!! Just want our "wait listers" to be seen front and center!! :shake:

Hi All,
Havent been on the forum for a bit. Wanted to check in and see if any good news had been heard by anyone? My son is still sitting patiently waiting for any word! Ill tell you, honestly, I havent been on here because I had to put it out of my mind...the wait has been driving my nuts!!!! So, I think I've recovered and am now ready to sit on pins and needles with everyone else!

Keeping good, positive thoughts and prayers going out to everyone!!! :thumb:
