I have read this forum with amusement since July. I am stuck by how much some of the 20-22 yr olds seem to know about the world, parenting, leadership qualities and what is best for KP.
I wish I could be a fly on the wall when some of these wise "sages" become parents. Think their perpsective on helicopter parents and everything we are doing wrong that is destroying our children's bright futures will change?
It is amusing to hear over & over that 2013 is the worst KP class ever, coddled, protected by the administration, lacking cohesiveness, spirit, discipline and any sense of responsibility. Think maybe that has been said every year about every class by upper classmen in the regiment?
My experience in talking to alums and other parents is exactly that- every class is the worst class. I cannot tell you how many alums, from the "ancient" guys to recent graduates swear theirs was the worst class.
Before the counter attack is launched, I might add that I have never called the academy and my DS rarely complains about anything but I respect the decisions of parents who have felt they needed to call the academy.
