this may be a silly question, but I feel that it's important.

I'm packing everything for the Summer Seminar, and I got to the undergarments. I'm not sure how much sweating goes on, but I do know that I sweat like a man (gross, I know). So... pretty much, I was trying to figure out how many sports bras I need to take with me. I feel that one per day might not be enough because one, I don't know how sweaty I will be, and two, how humid it will be and whether or not my clothes would dry.

Pretty much, I don't want to overpack, but I don't want to leave out something that I will need.

Feedback would be great :)

Ooooh...the dreaded question concerning sweating! Well, let me tell you this: You PT in the morning, shower, then go to workshops in the afternoon, and after do some sports. Maybe bring 6 or 7? If you feel you need to change during the day, you can always wash one in the sink....

And on a sidenote, perfume or baby powder can always cover up sweat scents. Trust me, I'm a runner in Arizona. You learn a few tricks. Plus, mostly everyone will be in the same boat as you, sweat-wise.

I would say one a day plus a couple extra. There isn't that much physical activity during the day except for the mock sea trails at the end. Just wear the dirty pair from the day before for PEP.

As for humidity its comparable to any costal area of the southeast, If you're from a dry climate it will be bad and if the A/C works in your room it will be plenty cold to dry clothes however if the A/C doesn't work your SOL.

I would definetly bring a few extra. PT in the morning is intense, and you will sweat alot. Theres not really alot of room for "re-use". If it is the same as last year, your squad leader will take your clothes to the laundry for you halfway through the week, but this does not include underclothes.

Have fun, and good luck.

well, reuse was out of the picture for me.. kinda gross because, like I said... I sweat like a man as it is lol

that's really sweet of them!! Or they just don't want to smell us ;)

My son is there this week for NASS and he called for the first time this evening. He said he didn't get a chance to take a shower today until right before he called (close to 9pm) and he'd done PT and the Navy PT test this morning and also said they ran back and forth to several of the classes. So he was definitely hot and sweaty!

I wouldn't worry about the smell - he said they had PT in the hallway yesterday morning (due to storms) and the entire place was fogged up with sweat! I'd be more concerned as a female about staying dry and not getting a rash, etc., so maybe be a bit more careful than my son is being and at least change (even if you let a sweaty bra dry out and wear it again the next day it's still better than keeping it on) undergarments, even if you don't have a chance to shower!
