Howdy. I'm Robert Doby, USAFA 2017. Since I seem to be running into old acquaintances at a startling rate, it'd be interesting to see if anyone I know is around:
1. NASS 2012, Session 1, Delta Company, 3rd Platoon
2. SLS 2012, Session 2, 3rd Company, 5th Platoon
Oddly enough, the guy who just transferred to my school was at NASS, just a week behind me and in another company. Delta Company was still "loud" (aka, awesome).
I'm a math guy; calculus and abstracts are my game, and a touch for writing when the mood seizes me (case in point: "A Poem for Your Sprog," page 11 of the USAFA Appointments thread). I run long distance and personally can't wait to get back to Colorado - I lived on the Academy for four years while my mother finished her 20, and you could say I'm rather fond of the place. That, and, you can't find a decent hill in Illinois.
As my last act before signing myself away on I-Day, I'll be attending the Oklahoma D-Day paintball scenario, if anyone else is planning on that. What better a way to finish off a school career before a military one?
