Three Year Scholarship?

Sorry for the double post, but what exactly is a letter of "good standing?" Is it like a recommendation letter or what?

I don't know myself, but if I were to guess: it's more like a discharge paper. That is, did you leave in good standing/honorably? Or were you a total screw up, broke the law, socked a professor in the mouth and were tossed off campus?

but I don't recall seeing any mid/high priced Privates awarded at 4 Yrs. posted out of March 2011 Board, so didn't think mid and high priced Privates would get 4 year at all this year.

this is very interesting. Last year, my son was offered scholarship (all four years) to three tier 4 private schools (according to the classification discussed earlier) during the first round (the first board).

Does this mean, it's more difficult to get more expensive scholarship during the later rounds? If so, this is yet one more data point for the current or future scholarship applicants..... Meaning, if you did not get selected for the scholarship from the October board, you might need to reexamine your school choice list to make sure that it's not populated with expensive schools.....

I agree with this assessment.

I would not remove or shuffle your first choice school if you did not get an offer to your first choice school off of the first board. What I would do is replace all of the expensive private schools that you have listed third or later and replace them with inexpensive schools in your first choice school's brigade. If you get a 4 year offer to one of these less expensive schools, you have a possibility of switching it for a 3 year offer to your first choice school.
