Ok all you AIR FORCE FALCON FANS..... Time to PARRRRTY!!!!! Our Falcons are at a major turning point in their season. We are 3-3 overall. We are 2-1 in the conference. We have 6 games left, and realistically, we need to win 4 of those 6 minimum to have a decent chance of going to a Post season BOWL GAME. And it all begins this weekend against the Wyoming Cowboys. And with me being FROM WYOMING, you'd think there is some conflict in my loyalties. Well, I admit there is some bias and conflict in loyalty. I want the Falcons to use their claws and scratch the EYES OUT of the Cowboys. I want the falcons to do what BIRDS DO when flying over someone. TAKE A DUMP on them.

Now, it all begins with the Pre-game tail-gates. And the "BEST OF THE BEST" is THUDGATE!!!! And you are all invited. Starts around 8:30-9:00 and will go until about 30 minutes before kickoff. Parents, guests, cadets, active duty, retired, and anyone else who is there. If you don't know where it is, find the BIGGEST TENT in the parking lot. The one that looks like DIA AIRPORT. Then, just East (Towards the parking lot, away from the stadium/mountains for any of you Army brothers/sisters coming. LOL!!!) you will find the beginning of the parking lot. You will see a large RV with some flags on it. One of the flags says "THUDGATE". That's it.

Please come by. Plenty of food, drink, and camaraderie with your Air Force FAMILY!!! There's a lot of "Mike's" there, so look for "Mike from Wyoming". I'm the only one of those. If I'm not there when you stop by, just hang out and have a burger or some steak/chicken/or whatever. I'll be right back. Chances are that I walked over to the next parking lot and visited the "WYOMING PARENT'S ASSOCIATION" Tailgate. Yes, I'm a die-hard Falcon fan. But during Parent's weekend and the AF/Wyoming game, I need to swing by the Wyoming tailgate and say hi to our ALO's, some new prospects, applicants, parents and usually all the Wyoming cadets at the academy stop by.

So, hope to see you all there. Come have fun and support your falcons. later... Mike.....

We will try to find you and stop by. We are leaving to drive up to the Academy in the morning and staying the weekend. Thanks for the invite.

dang! i was just in Colorado the other day! if i would have known, i would have stayed an extra couple of days and came by.

Well, after this weekend, we have 2 final home games. One with ARMY!!!! (I expect everyone there who can be) and the final home game is against UNLV. Anyone who is interested in the academy and wants to experience 1st hand the true meaning of the "Air Force Family" should definitely attend. Between our tailgate (all air force related individuals; active duty, retired, cadets, alumni, ROTC, OTS, officer/enlisted, family members, parents, etc...) and the game itself, you will have a great time and an opportunity to experience the brother/sister hood of the Air Force. Everyone's invited. And stay around long enough for our toast BEFORE the game (to all those before/with/after us) and at the end of the game as the players go to the cadet area on the field and sing the 3rd verse of the Air Force song in a toast to those no longer with us. Those who have been to an Air Force Football game knows. Those who haven't and are interested, please come on by. And for those who live further away, we also have 3 away games left. One at the University of Utah; one at Brigham Young University; and one at Colorado State. I might make "Some" of those, but we definitely have a huge following that goes to the away games. Including much of the "Thudgate" tailgate. mike

Oh Mike !!! You make me so sad that I am here in the wet snow! Have a great time at your Tailgate! Can you post some pictures?

LET'S GO FALCONS!

and, in a non-commercial announcement: Falcon Fencing next weekend on the AFA campus. Someone ( P L E A S E ) go out and support those kids with the swords!

If the fencing team let us borrow their swords (Foils - Didn't think I knew that, did you? :shake:); we could use them for "Shish Kabob" at the tail-gate.... They'd be invited of course. :thumb: Wish it was on this Saturday. I would definitely be there. Mike....

I can't believe the game wasn't on any of my local cable channels. I can tell you, if I were not a lady (STOP THAT VILE LAUGHTER!), I might have been tempted to say some pretty ugly words in the direction of that TV.

Still, I'm glad they won. Will boost everyone for the 2nd half of the season.

Mike, how many people come to your tailgater?

Depends on the game. 2 weeks ago in the 18 degree cold and wet rain/ice, we had about 20-25. This past weekend, in and out, around 50-60. We've had easily over 100. Depends on the weather and who we're playing. Should have a good turn out for the army game. The only other home game is against UNLV. But we'll be traveling to the game at Colorado State University. So we'll tail-gate there. The 2 other games are in Utah. Some of the tailgaters will go. Not sure how many. later... mike....
