If son took 5 credits of Russian both first and second semester Freshman year as a contracted MS1, when should he "theoretically" see his clip money?

    Thanks in advance.

I thought CLIP money was no more? If it's still around then like so many things it is battalion specific. Good HR? My guess would be 3 months at least. DS' battalion has great HR personnel and it took forever.

CLIP ended after the fall semester of 2014. Spring semester = $0
All the paperwork had to be submitted prior to the end of the calender year. I would check with the HR person to make sure things got submitted on time. DS received his in February.

CLIP B pay only ended briefly.

The President signed the NDAA 2015 legislation on 19 December 2014. Section 615 and Section 316a of that legislation continued foreign language bonus payments. . Cadets taking Winter/Spring/Summer 2015 CLIP-B eligible courses should apply for them as usual in the CLIP-B Online System.

I assume he has been paid for the first semester? My DS got notification in his portal yesterday that his CLIP-B has been "processed." Last semester he got paid about two weeks after it was processed.

Concur that it seems to rely heavily on the HR person. Paperwork submitted after 1st semester and 2nd semester but finally officially submitted for 3 semesters by HR right before the Dec 2014 deadline. $3000 due for 12 credits but nothing so far. At this point we've pretty much assumed it's a lost cause. Apparently it still shows as submitted on whatever the website is where cadets can. All I can say is welcome to the Army son....
Interesting that if program was continued into the spring, DS could submit again for another $1000 but at this point be happy to get $$ for the first 3 painful semesters of Arabic!
