It has been about a month now since goaliegirl got her approval to get an interview with a PMS and from what I understand, she should be getting contacted by Concorde for her DoDMERB physical very soon. A couple of questions:

How long do you wait before you contact Concorde to ask for an appointment?

How do you (given that you are supposed to initiate contact in the absence of communication) contact Concorde to schedule the physical?

We have about 3 weeks before I have to take goaliegirl back to school and I'd like to get this completed before we leave her there. It makes logistics much easier.

Thanks in advance for your help.

This happened to me as well--I needed to schedule an appointment and I couldn't wait for them to contact me.

First I called DODMERB at 1-800-841-2706 and they redirected me to concorde's number so I could schedule the appointment. The number he gave me for concorde is 215-587-9600.

Once I called concorde, the lady on the phone told me that I could go to www.dodmets.com and access the online application that was already set up for me. I simply had to enter my social security number and my last name to start the process and the website has online instructions that have enabled me to fill out the medical information and start the process of scheduling an appointment.

I hope this was helpful.

After receiving a reply from Army Cadet Command facilitated by Mr. Mullen, I'd like to share a change in the AROTC process from previous years with regards to the DoDMERB Physical Examination. From the email I received:

Sir, per a request from DODMERB, the Army changed how it schedules
DODMERB physicals in order to reduce government spending. The Army will
schedule a physical for those students that win an Army ROTC
Scholarship, much the way the Navy and Air Force operate.
Unfortunately, this decision was made after your daughter received our
letter which talked about the old process of scheduling the physical at
the same time as the Interview.

While this complicates our logistics of accomplishing this task with goaliegirl away at school during the academic year, it is not an impossible task to accomplish.

I thought I'd pass along this change in practice to schedule AROTC initiated DoDMERB Physical exams ONLY after a scholarship offer has been made.

Thanks again to Mr. Mullen for his help in this matter.

Good point. The reason for the change was DoDMERB was performing examing folks that we're not competitive to even be considered for an AROTC scholarship. :thumb:
